Welcome.
About Me
Hey Y’all,
I’m Ceci Mayhan, pronounced seh-SEE; it’s like Cecilia without the ‘lia’. Having been born in Mobile, AL, and raised in Lilburn, GA, I’ve lived in the South my whole life. I’m also a proud Filipina-American.
I’m a comedy show enthusiast, avid folk-punk music listener, mid-century architecture aficionado, and long-time coffee connoisseur. And, of course, my dog, Maia’s, number 1 fan! With such an eclectic mix of interests, it’s fair to say that I’m an equally interesting person, but my passions don’t only lie in my love for a good conversation pit or cup of nitro cold brew but also in the biological and social sciences.
As a first year at Agnes Scott College, I plan on majoring in Biology with a minor in Environmental and Sustainabilities Studies. Although my focus is on biology, I don’t neglect the importance of mutual aid; in fact, I’m most interested in the overlap of environmentalism and mutual aid, with one of my core beliefs being: in order to address and solve environmental issues, we must take a collaborative approach by helping people to help the Earth. I volunteer with ATL Free Fridge bi-weekly, redistributing hundreds of pounds of food in Lilburn and Decatur, Georgia.
Best,
Ceci
